My Skin Story

Starting in my early teens my mom showed me how to take care of my skin.  Her motto is:" The first thing people see is your face/skin",...that is really the first impression that you make. So I started listening to her advice.  1) Remove your make-up at the end of the day, 2) Start wearing press powder as a protective film over your face,.. it traps all the dirt without letting it clog your pores. Clogged pores=dirt and oil= pimples.
3) Wear Sunscreen always no matter what time of the year. 4) Wear eye cream. 5) At night put on a night cream.
Once a month I started getting her facials. She is the best esthetician I know, and not because she is my mom, but because she loves what she does and she has talent.  Some of her clients have followed around her NY city moves over the past 30 yrs.  She has pictures on the walls of young women in their 20's and now as married women with kids almost 20 yrs later.  She has stellar credentials and she has worked in the best salons/spas in NY.  She is an inspiration to me and to all her clients. She is not only a face magician but she is also a friend, confidant, part psychologist, part mother, part sister, to all her clients.

Now I am following in her footsteps by enrolling in the Christine Valmy International School of Cosmetics.  It will take time before I gain the knowledge and the experience needed to produce my mom's results.  I hope I have the same abilities she has when she touches someone's face.  I want to learn what she does and I want to do it well.
